29th Annual Sunrise Festival of the Arts

Vendors can now register for the 29th annual Sunrise Festival of the Arts scheduled for Saturday, July 13, at Veterans Memorial Park.

The Sunrise Festival of the Arts, presented by XTO Energy, is always one of the highlights of the summer season as residents enjoy viewing homemade items from vendors throughout the area, a variety of entertainment and great food from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during a traditionally beautiful day in the city’s downtown park.
Cost for vendors is $45 for a 10 by 10 booth. The fee increases to $55 after May 31. In addition, there’s a special low $25 charge for authors taking part in the festival.
Food vendors representing non-profit groups are also wanted. Registration fee is $75, or $85 after May 31.

This year’s celebration will include an expanded kid’s korner being held in honored of the late Arch Ellwein.
Purchase a Sunrise Festival button and redeem discounts offered by local merchants and enter to win prizes, including the annual grand prize: a piece of art from the featured artist of the year.
Sandra LaRoque, an artist from Alexander, has been selected as this year’s featured artist for the Sunrise Festival of the Arts.

Her creations out of the agates from the Yellowstone River include beautiful lampshades and suncatchers. She noted the art can be enjoyed in your window to let the sunshine of them and show their beauty.
